Reading secured a win over Fulham in the Championship play-off second leg on Tuesday.

Reading booked a place in the play-off final at Wembley following a 1-0 win over Fulham, who had finished sixth, on Tuesday – securing a 2-1 aggregate victory over Slavisa Jokanovic’s side.

Once again, the Royals had keeper Ali Al-Habsi to thank for his saves but it was veteran striker Yann Kermorgant who held his nerve to score from the penalty spot – awarded for a handball against Tomas Kalas – on 49 minutes to secure this win, leaving Jaap Stam a game from Premier League promotion in his first season as boss.

Shortly after this play-off final clinching victory Reading announced Dai Yongge and Dai Xiu Li had become majority shareholders.
