Reading`s Jonathan Hayes has moved to the MK Dons in a loan deal that will last until the end of the season.

The teenager will join Jude Stirling formerly of Peterborough United who has signed the Dons on a permanent deal that lasts 18months.

Martin Allen, MK Dons boss and former Reading assistant manager was keen to bring the 19-year-old to Milton Keynes.

Speaking to the Reading FC official website, Hayes commented on his move:

‘MK Dons have come in for me, they’re flying, up near the top of League Two and it’ll be nice to play, especially in a team doing well.’

In other transfer related news, Liverpool have put an offer to James McCarthy, the Scottish whiz-kid currently training with the Reading team.

The 16 year-old has yet to decided what his future holds for himself as of yet.

“Liverpool have made an offer for Jamie but he has not refused or accepted it as yet,” Remarked Hamilton boss, Billy Reid.
‘Reading are a well-run team as are Liverpool. He will take it as it comes and make the right decision for himself.’
Reading can, however confirm the signing of one bright youth. Viktor Illugason has singed a contract with the Royals.

The 16 year-old striker was quick to find the net, after signing too. Viktor celebrated his signing by scoring in the under-18`s team`s 3-1 win over MK Dons.

Finally, Simon Cox is back at the Madejski Stadium, the midfielder had been out at Brentford on two separate loan spells separated only by injury.

But the Brentford staff made the decision to release Cox back to Reading so they had the option of more players on loan.

Cox started in twelve games for the Bees and is now hungry to play some more regular football.
