It was a day of mixed emotions for Royals fans after seeing Gylfi Sigurdsson depart to Hoffenheim, but Zurab Kizhanishvili and Ian Harte signing for the club. However there were a couple of other deals that happened at the Madejski Stadium –

Firstly 2nd choice goalkeeper Ben Hamer has joined Brentford on loan until January. He has been at Griffin Park before, keeping goal during their League Two title winning season a few years back.

He has replaced Alex McCarthy, who returned from a months loan with the Bee’s, and will now act as understudy to Adam Federici.

Another goalkeeper, Mikkel Andersen, has extended his stay at Bristol Rovers. He will stay at the Memorial Ground until January at least.
