OUT

Stephen Hunt

Spurs are being linked with a move for the Irish winger after Middlesbrough rejected their approach for Stuart Downing. It is reported that Spurs boss Harry Redknapp is keen to strengthen his midfield options and will be sending his scouts to watch him against Watford later on this evening.

Kevin Doyle

The Irish international striker is earning high praise for his performances this season and continues to top the Championship goal scoring charts with 16 to his name already this season. Doyle would be a good addition for any Premiership club with reported interest from Newcastle, Aston Villa, Portsmouth & Sunderland. However after agreeing a new deal recently it would take a strong bid to take Reading prize asset away from Berkshire.

Leroy Lita

Looks the most likely to leave during January with only 3 league appearances for the Royals. Lita had a long spell on loan at the end of last season with Charlton and has been on loan to Norwich this term where he scored 7 in 14 games. Lita’s current contract ends in the summer and with no new offer in the pipeline, Reading may want to cash in on the striker. Glen Roeder has expressed his interest in taking on the striker for the rest of the season and Everton are reportedly gaining interest with his cut price valuation.

IN

Andrew Surman

Reading are reportedly a number of clubs interested in the Saints youngster and view him as a possible Hunt replacement. Southampton may want to cash in with their current state of financial difficulty.

Jay Tabb

It has emerged today that Reading are preparing a £250,000.00 bid for the former Irish U21 international. Tabb’s contract runs out at the end of the season with the Coventry player failing to agree new terms.
Tabb is a versatile player who can play on either wing, in central midfield, and occasionally centre forward.

Abdoulaye Balde

The 22-year-old striker is set to become a free agent in the summer, allowing him to discuss contract agreements with other clubs. This seems to be a more agent produced rumour than anything however, having spent the last four years in his homeland, he may be open to a new challenge in England and could be seen as a replacement for the outbound Leroy Lita.

Herman Hreidarsson

he defender is set to leave Fratton Park after advising Adams of his wish to leave after failing to hold down a first team place. Hreidarsson would be a good addition for any Championship side but with a reported bid on the way from Celtic the defender may find the appeal of European football hard to resist.

I 1005 expect lita to go but would hate Hunt or Doyle to leave. I think jay Tabb would be a good signing!

Why does Lita not get a game for your lot? I remember seeing him in the U-21 championships and he looked awesome. He seems too good to be true? Where is the catch?

  • MASTER-RFC says:

He gets caught offside alot and you can normally find him on his arse trying to win a free kick. When he wants to be he is quality but Coppell doesn’t like his attitude

I just can’t believe that Lita is going for nothing more than a song – Surely there must be something more than just not getting on with Coppell – As for the Hermann link if you get him you’ll get a great personality with bags of energy – He was Pompey’s unoffical Player of the season last year .. he’s just a bit old now .. one good championship season left in him though I reckon.. scores the odd on or two too
