The Team We Didn’t Want Win Two In A Row

Last night’s visitors Norwich City were the team to register two back to back wins for the first time this season rather than the Royals.

Finnish striker Teemu Pukki put the away side 1-0 up after coming on to a through ball from Canaries midfielder Todd Cantwell, to sweep home first time into the far corner. Reading levelled with just under twenty minutes to go, as Bodvarsson scrambled home after a cross from John Swift bobbled around the area, only for the Icelandic international to get the final touch. However, Paul Clement’s side were only level for a minute as substitute Mario Vrancic showed good skill inside the box to get a shot off and the ball crept into the far corner for the Norfolk side to take all three points.

Daniel Farke’s team looked in control of this match from start to finish as Reading never really troubled Tim Krul’s net. This is the first time in Reading’s history that they have lost their first four home league games in a season. We now need to pick ourselves up and dust ourselves off for the visit of former manager Nigel Adkins and his Hull City side to the Madejski on Saturday.
