With great thanks to Vital Forest editor Kev, we ask a few questions on his club and tonights game….

————————————————————-

1) Would you consider your season a failure, even if you stay up?

At the beginning of the season, it would have been classed as failure, but 43 games gone and I think most Forest fans will be over the moon with survival now. The season began with high hopes and promises of promotion, but it all turned pear shaped from almost the first kick under Steve McClaren.

2) Who are the player/s to look out for?

Andy Reid and Adlene Guedioura have been instrumental in our recent revival, or upturn in fortunes. Reid is enjoying a regular first team place now and Guedioura is a touch of class that shines out in this division. God knows how he wasn’t getting his pick at Wolves, but he’s been sensational for us.

3) What`s your current opinion of Steve Cotterill?

The form book says the guy is doing well and we should cut him some slack. However, my head still tells me he is not the longterm answer to our problems. Much will depend on who our new owners will be and how ambitious they are, but if he does keep us up and in the manner he is doing it at present, with some decent football, then maybe – just maybe he is the man to take us forward.

4) If you could have any player from the Championship, who would it be and why?

Ricky Lambert at Southampton. He scores for fun and goal scoring has been a major problem for us for most of this season.

5) If you could offload any player from your team, who would it be and why?

Blimey! Where to start. Strikers David McGoldrick, Matt Derbyshire, Robbie Findlay (more of a winger really) and Ishmael Miller. Total wastes of space and should be prosecuted under the Trade Descriptions act for deception. That’s just my opinion mind.

6) What’s your prediction for the game?

I think we can give you a game, but you’ll be too strong for us in truth. We’re in our best form of the season at the moment, but I don’t think we will have enough quality at the back to cope with Kanu, Leighterwood or Tabb. I actually think Cotterill might be prepared to take this one on the chin and rest a few, in the hope we pick up the necessary points elsewhere for survival. Hope I’m wrong, but I’m going for a 1-0 home win.
