With very special thanks to Sven’s Ambition from Vital Leicester, we ask a few questions on tomorrow’s game and how former defender Matt Mills is getting on.

With very special thanks to Sven’s Ambition from Vital Leicester, we ask a few questions on tomorrow’s game.

———————————————————-

1. What are your expectations for the season?

It has to be promotion with the players we have brought in and the money we have been spending to be honest. At the very least play off’s. Anything less will be considered a failure really.

2. What are your strengths and weaknesses as a team?

Weaknesses would have to be defensive understanding at the moment as with so many new players to gel, it’ll take time before we see the best of them, but of course that then goes to strength which is our attacking intent with all the options we have.

Both you’d hope will get significantly better as time goes on though.

3. Who is the player/s to look out for?

Youngster would definitely be Jeff Schlupp who hit the Carling Cup headlines the other day. Big things are expected from Peltier, Schmeichel and many others though. Could even include Johnson if he can find his old Man City form.

4. Has only been 2 games, but what is your early opinion of Matt Mills?

Quite impressed, he’s still finding his feet a little especially as Sven tinkers with the team, but I can certainly see where you were coming from in your comments on him when he first signed.

Could well grow into a very accomplished player for us.

5. Are you pleased with the work your gaffer has done so far?

Absolutely, difficult not to really. If there was a bugbear it would be ‘older’ players that we are snapping up as I’d like to see us do more with the youth, but Sven is going for a balance and experience to not only get us out the Championship but also build a squad that can survive in the Premiership, so as said that’s a minor bugbear.

6. Prediction of the game?

I think 2-1 to us. Reading will be a good indication of how much we still have to gel on the pitch I think, as even minus Shane Long now, it’s not going to be an easy game.
