Reading’s very highly rated Turkish teenager Jem Karacan is expected to complete a loan move to Bournemouth.

The 18-year-old midfielder, a Turkish youth international, who came through the youth ranks with Reading signed a two-year professional contract in the summer, impressed Bournemouth manager Kevin Bond who watched him in a training match this week, which must have been the one that Ibrahima Sonko played in as well.

Karacan is now expected to sign an initial month long loan deal and gain some valuable professional first team experience, with him set to be in the Bournemouth squad this weekend when they face Millwall.

Karacan is very highly rated isn’t he, to captain the reserves at 18 is something isn’t it. This will do him the world of good, but I would expect the loan to be extended beyond the original month.
