As we look forward to building on our win at Leeds last week with another tough away trip at Sheffield United, we take a quick peek at some team news.

Skipper Paul McShane missed the trip to Leeds last week and will be given a late fitness test to see if he can make the squad. The biggest boost is the return of last season’s top scorer Yann Kermorgant, who has missed the start of the season with groin and hip surgery.

Midfielder John Swift should also be back in the squad after missing the last couple of weeks with a reoccurrence of a hamstring issue. Fellow midfielder George Evans is out for a couple more weeks, while there is no timescale on the return of Joseph Mendes and Stephen Quinn.

Winger Callum Harriott has suffered another set back in his long-awaited return from injury, while academy graduate Tennai Watson remains on the treatment table. Jordan Obita has successful ACL surgery last week, but will now miss the remainder of the current season.

United will give a late fitness test to George Baldock, while Kieron Freeman won’t feature after suffering an injury at Ipswich. Striker Ched Evans will be out for another month, while goalkeeper Simon Moore and defender Richard Stearman are both long term absentees.
