A rare win on Tuesday night has put a bit more optimism in tomorrow afternoon’s game, as we welcome Millwall to the Madejski Stadium. We take a look at team news for both sides.

Jaap Stam is still going to be without the creativity of John Swift, who is still nursing a hamstring issue, while skipper Paul McShane is still sidelined. January signings and Tommy Elphick are both expected to make the squad, with Elphick likely to start.

Striker Joseph Mendes has returned to full training, but is nowhere near match fit to be included in the squad. Callum Harriott is still working his way back from a series of knock backs, while Jordan Obita and Stephen Quinn are long-term absentees for the Royals.

Central defender Byron Webster is still on the treatment table, but the Lions did bolster their defensive options in January with the signing of Jason Shackell, who is likely to feature. This means former Royals player and academy graduate Jake Cooper could be dropped to the bench.

Northern Ireland international Shane Ferguson will be missing for the away side and while Aiden O’Brien is edging closer to a return, he won’t be considered. Returning hero Tim Cahill won’t be included due to his lack of match fitness, but new addition Ben Marshall is likely to play.
