It’s a quick turnaround after both of our games midweek, as we welcome a high-flying Derby side to the Madejski Stadium tomorrow afternoon. We take a look at team news for both sides.

Jaap Stam opted not to risk John Swift against Forest on Tuesday night after returning to training, but is expected to make the squad tomorrow. Striker Joseph Mendes is edging closer back to a return as he is still in light training, but still needs to get crucial minutes under his belt.

It was good to see Jordan Obita out on the grass again this week, but still won’t play again this season after his ACL recovery. Skipper Paul McShane and Tommy Elphick are still both sidelined, while Callum Harriott is a long-term absentee. Chris Martin is not allowed to play against his parent club.

Derby are wanting to put pressure on the top two and Gary Rowett could give a start to Kasey Palmer after his equaliser against Leeds on Wednesday. Striker Sam Winnall is sidelined, as Cameron Jerome is likely to start. Both and George Thorne are doubts for this game.

Predicted Reading XI – 4-3-3: Mannone; Gunter, Moore, Ilori, Richards; van den Berg, Edwards, Bacuna; Aluko, Bodvarrson, Barrow.

Predicted Derby XI – 4-4-1-1: Carson; Wisdom, Keogh, Davies, Olsson; Weimann, Huddlestone, Johnson, Palmer; Vydra; Jerome.
