We take a look at some injury concerns for both teams, ahead of our game at Bristol City tomorrow afternoon.

The hosts have a few injury worries for this game, as Iceland international defender Hordur Magnusson is expected to miss out with a hamstring injury, as will defender Adam Matthews. The hamstring issues must be contagious at City, as Gary O’Neil is also doubtful with that issue, so Korey Smith could start.

Jaap Stam could welcome back Jordan Obita to his starting XI for the first time in over a month following his injury return, as Callum Harriott appeared to pick up a hamstring issue in the abandoned game against Fulham, so he will miss out. Midfielder Stephen Quinn remains sidelined with a knee issue.

Skipper Paul McShane was suprisingly demoted to the bench against Fulham, but reportedly picked up a hand injury in the previous game against Norwich, which also reportedly requires an operation! The skipper is another option in Harriott’s absence. Striker Dennis Rakels is edging closer to a return.

Possible Reading starting XI – 3-5-2: Al-Habsi; Moore, McShane, Blackett; Gunter, Evans, Williams, Swift, Obita; McCleary, Kermorgant.
