Young midfielder Jake Taylor has extended his stay at League One side Exeter City by another month, after his original deal was due to run out after Exeter’s game tonight against Walsall.

The Welsh U21 midfielder has enjoyed a productive spell at the Grecians, playing a big part in their 3-1 victory over Rochdale after gaining an assist, winning a penalty and scoring his first professional goal.

Taylor told the official Exeter site: ”I am really enjoying my time down here, everyone is helping me out and it has been brilliant so far.’. On his goal he said: ‘Obviously it is a great feeling for me, and it is a milestone I’ve been looking to get since I came down here.’

The 19-year has made one appearance at his parent club Reading as well as appearing in some cup matches for the Royals. Taylor is bound to play a part in the Grecians game at Walsall.
