Sunzu move in potential doubt

Reading’s proposed move for defender Stoppila Sunzu could be in doubt, after confusion with his current contract, according to Sky Sports.

The Zambian defender was all cleared to sign a deal at the Madejski Stadium, after his short trial period at the club. However, it has emerged that his club TP Mazembe and Sunzu have contrasting views over his contract, with his club side claiming he is contracted until 2015, while the player claims his contract has already ran out.

Sky Sports claim a source close to the Zambian international captain has said that the player is annoyed by these accusations and wants a quick resolution to the situation. With Mazembe apparently holding out for £4 million, if Sunzu is correct, the situation and price could heavily change in the favour of the Royals.
