Pavel Pogrebnyak is reporting attempting to cancel his contract with Reading, to force a move to Russia

Pavel Pogrebnyak is reporting attempting to cancel his contract with Reading, to force a move to Russia.

Some media outlets are reporting that the Russian international would be willing to terminate his current contract and return to his native country to Rubin Kazan. It is being stated that Pog is on £65,000-a-week, but is believed to be only be on a £35,000-a-week contract.

The former Fulham striker signed a four-year contract last year, but just 8 goals later, wants to leave. I can see why he wants to leave, but I’m not sure he would go as far as cancelling his contract to leave.

Alfie has started the past two friendlies, so I imagine he will be starting against Ipswich on Saturday – this wouldn’t please the Pog. I feel the big forward has received some undeserved criticism, but his future is probably better away from the club.
