Sonko was part of the Championship winning side in 2006 and played for the Royals in the Premier League, however he hasn’t been the same since a knee injury and we cashed in on the Senegal defender just at the right time.
Since then he has had two dreadful seasons with Stoke and last season on loan at Hull, who were relegated. He is now set to join Portsmouth in another season long loan spell, and could feature at the Madejsi Stadium next season.
As Portsmouth are under a transfer embargo though the move needs to be confirmed by the FA before he can complete the move.
