The Royals have been hit by the adverse weather in the area and were unable to train on Tuesday.

Heavy snow and ice brought Reading to a stand still on Monday night and the Royals players have also been effected.

After spending the day training in the Academy indoor dome on Monday, caretaker manager Brian McDermott had to cancel Tuesday’s planned session altogether.

Hogwood was under a blanket of snow and he decided against sending his players to the dome for a second day in a row, with the cold snap still effecting the roads.

However things look better at the Madejski Stadium where the snow has cleared with the hel of the under soil heating, and a snow clearance machine will clear the surrounding rounds and pathways on Wednesday, ahead of the boxing day game against Swansea.
