Promising young striker Shane Young has committed his immediate future to the Royals after penning a three year deal.
The Republic of Ireland Under-19 international who scored four times in 15 appearances in his debut season for Reading said ‘The last year has been brilliant for me. I feel like I have really progressed since coming here last summer and I am delighted to sign this new deal.’
Long who is now contracted to the club until 2009 joined the Royals from Eircom League side Cork City for a nominal fee in June 2005.
