After a week of voting, it was no surprise when the results of the Vital Reading player of the month for September came in. We had been asking you to vote for your star performer of last month, and the winner picked up more than half of the total votes.

Jimmy Kebe was immense during the September, scoring one of the goals of the season against Middlesbrough as well as a bullet header against Barnsley and a low drive against Crystal Palace.

He received 51% of the votes and was a long way clear of second place Shane Long, who got 22%. Ian Harte and Adam Federici were tied in third on 11% each, with Shaun Cummings receiving just 5% of the votes.

Don’t forget to vote in our latest poll, ‘are you happy with our season so far?’
