Reading winger Hal Robson-Kanu has signed a new three-year deal with the Royals, to dismiss any transfer speculation surrounding him as his previous contract was set to run out this summer.

The 22-year old was strongly linked with Pompey as we reported last week but the academy-graduate has moved quickly to agree a new deal.

HRK told the official RFC site: ‘I’m delighted to be here. Signing a new contract at a club is a sign that you are doing well and it is great to have been rewarded with a new deal.’

Hal had a successful 2010/11 season for the Royals, making 15 starts and scoring 6 goals, which also earnt him recognition and his first Wales cap under new boss Gary Speed.
