West Bromwich Albion striker Diomansy Kamara claims he is being courted by Reading, but would prefer to return to Italy.

Kamara has scored 12 goals in the Championship this season, but appears to be hankering after a January move.

Prior to the opening of the transfer window, the Senegal international’s agent revealed Roma were keen to take Kamara back to Serie A.

A fee of £2.8million was mooted for the ex-Modena ace, although Tony Mowbray is aiming to keep his best players at The Hawthorns.

However, Kamara has admitted Reading are considering making an offer to take him back to the Premiership.

Torino are also on the radar and the 26-year-old concedes he would rather go back to Italy than join Reading.

‘Italy has been fundamental in my life and I can’t wait to return,’ Kamara is quoted in the News of the World.

‘Reading are really after me, but I would prefer Torino.’

Any player who doesn’t really want to play for us will not be welcom here in my opinion. Coppell’s indicated that he only wants players who will fight for the cause, and given Kamara’s comment about rather playing for Torino, he can whistle.

id agree with you there, rogue, we should only sign players who will fit the team and want to play.
