The 30-year old, in a similar situation to Alex Pearce, is refusing to sign a new contract at the La Liga club, so is looking elsewhere. Swansea are also interested in the defender, who has struggled to gain a regular place in the Granada first team this campaign.
Lopez has openly admitted he would like a move to England, but the Royals’ relegation may provide a few barriers for Nigel Adkins. I think we need to bring in an experienced defender in the summer, but I’m not sure if this guy is really what we should be looking for. Completely different tempo in England.
