Reading could be set to offer striker Pavel Pogrebnyak a contract worth £13 million a year, according to The Sun.

Fulham are still currently in negotiations to extend his deal at the club, but Brian McDermott could tempt the Russian international with his £65,000-a-week deal. The former Stuttgart forward scored six goals in 12 games for Martin Jol’s side, who is also attracting interest from Aston Villa.

The 28-year old is still deliberating where he wants to play his football next season, but he has reiterated that the Premier League is his main preference. The Daily Mail have stated that Reading will instead offer £30,000-a-week, with the Cottagers only able to offer Pogrebnyak £20,000-a-week.
