We still have another eight months until the start of the World Cup, but we already know that one figure from Reading will be representing England.

The man in question in our head of scouting and development, Steve Head. The former Fulham scout, who worked with England boss Roy Hodgson at the West London club during his tenure there, has chosen Head to help with scouting in Brazil next summer.

The club, including manager Nigel Adkins and director of football Nicky Hammond gave him the green light to aid the Three Lions in their world cup campaign. He has head of opposition scouting at Fulham, so will be likely to be reading up on the England’s opponents in Brazil.

Good luck Steve!
