Reading defender Liam Rosenior had a fine game against Manchester City as the Royals made it back-to-back wins on Saturday, helping to make him the highest mover of the week in The Actim Index, the official player ratings system of the Barclays Premier League.

Rosenior, who swapped Craven Cottage for the Madejski Stadium on transfer deadline day, made just his ninth Premier League appearance of the season in the clash scoring 42 points – his best game of the season so far and helped him climb 69 places in the Index.

He contributed two dribbles – his first two of the season – and made four tackles, winning three, which took his season`s tally for tackles up from two to six.

His rise lifts him to 308th place in the overall standings, and makes him the 12th highest Reading player in the Index, but he still remains some way behind the five Royals players sitting in the top 100 – Nicky Shorey (35th), Stephen Hunt (52nd), Marcus Hahnemann (54th), James Harper (55th) and Dave Kitson, who climbed 12 places to 98th after his goal against City.

The Actim Index is calculated using a unique mathematical formula that rates each player`s contribution be it goals, shots, passes, dribbles, tackles, crosses, saves, clearances, blocks, interceptions, assists, clean sheets, time on the pitch or number of points gained by the team with marks deducted for red and yellow cards.
