A youthful Reading side will take on Birmingham in a friendly tonight. Lawson D’Ath will be the notable name in that line up, having made the bench against Leeds on Saturday.

20,000 plus tickets have been sold for our game against Brighton on boxing day, which is a great improvement from previous attendances. The average attendance is up by over 1,000.

We are also now second in the Championship form table, just behind Barnsley. We have won four of our last fives games, picking up

redible wins against Leeds and West Ham.

Kaspars Gorkss has come in for a lot of praise for his performances so far in a Reading shirt. As well as manager Brian McDermott describing him a superb signing, he has been named in the Championship team of the week.
