Sky Sports have linked the newly promoted Royals with a move for Ivory Coast and Nantes midfielder Emerse Fae, 22.

Fae who has also attracted interest from Paris St Germain has also been linked with the Berkshire outfit in French newspaper reports. He is believed to have visited the Madejski Stadium for preliminary discussions at the weekend, although a bid in the region of £3.7m is rumoured to have been rejected.

Tough-tackling Fae has also spoken out on his future saying ‘I will not leave just to leave, for PSG or any other club. I will sign with another club only if i feel ready.’

When asked about the proposition of joining Reading he responded ‘Reading? Yes, but it is a little late considering the start to the season. I know my game matches the English style but honestly in Europe the Spanish league is the most attractive to me.’

This last quote indicates he may bide his time to engineer a move to a La Liga side rather than rush into a contract in England.

Unlucky guys….. with your loss against Aston Villa… this hopefully will open your eyes to the harsh reality of the English Premiership….there are not many easy games…Aston Villa are not the best team in the premiership by any means so expect a hard season but good luck.
