Reading FC have shown an interest in creating a link between Arunachal Pradesh in India, in attempt to ‘develop football’ in the state, according to The Times of India.

Arunachal Pradesh is a state in India that has a vast amount of interest in football and has many footballing camps set around the location. Representatives of RFC, including Chief Executive Nigel Howe, have met up with chief minister Nabam Tuki in New Delhi and discussed the possibility of nurturing the talent in the Indian state.

The article also stated that some selected players will be brought back over to Berkshire to train with the Royals’ top facilities, giving them a chance to impress. Nigel Howe has also been stated as saying that the club will: ‘take on the responsibility of propagating and developing the game by placing its coaches permanently in the state’ if the process is successful.
