A round up of all the Reading contingent away on international duty for their respective countries….

Defender Adrian Mariappa was once again called up for Jamaica, as they placed Mexico in a 0-0, but he wasn’t alone. Captain Jobi McAnuff made his first appearance for the Reggae Boys since 2002, while fellow winger Garath McCleary earned his first cap for Jamaica.

Jobi had a great chance to score during the early exchanges of the game at the Azteca Stadium, but could only smash his effort at the keeper from eight yards. Kaspars Gorkss captained Latvia as they were defeated 3-0 by Japan in an international friendly, while Alex Pearce was an unused sub for the Republic of Ireland.

The Welsh trio of Chris Gunter, Hal Robson-Kanu and Simon Church did not start for Chris Coleman’s sides 2-1 victory over Austria, but all did come on as substitutes. Goalkeeper Adam Federici came on as a half-time substitute for Australia in their 3-2 loss to Romania.
