Reading have given a trial to non-league goalkeeper Elliot Justham, who currently plays for Brentwood Town who are in the Ryman League Division One.

The 21-year old has been in fine form for his team this term, which has led Brentwood to having the most solid defence in the league. He has conceded just 13 goals in 18 games between the sticks.

Brentwood Town currently sit sixth in the Ryman League Division One North and managed Steve Witherspoon has recently commented on how much weight the 6’3 goalie has lost.

He told ThisisEssex: ‘He has lost a load of weight and he’s become much more agile, he kicks the ball a mile and he gobbles up crosses. He won’t like me for saying this but he was a little bit porky.’

It is also believed that League One side Colchester United are tracking his progress.
