Reading are reportedly chasing former Middlesbrough midfielder Didier Digard.

The 26-year old is currently playing his football in France for top division side Nice and has received many plaudits for his performances from local journalists in Ligue 1. Digard also captains the side, who currently sit ninth in the league.

I’m not really sure if we need another defensive midfield, as it appears Daniel Carrico will offer the competition for Mikele Leigertwood’s place. Also, if Brian reverts back to 4-4-2, we are going to have an overflow of options in centre midfield.
