A number of charges have been issued by The FA following incidents during Saturday’s match between Reading and Sheffield United.

Both clubs have been charged with failing to control their players and/or officials. This charge relates to a mass confrontation on the touchline in the second half of Reading’s 3-1 triumph.

Royals coach Wally Downes has been charged with improper conduct in relation to the same incident.

Sheffield United manager Neil Warnock has been reminded of his responsibilities but will not face any formal disciplinary action.

Reading, Sheffield United, and Downes have until 7th February to respond to the charges.

Sheffield United midfielder Keith Gillespie, meanwhile, has admitted a charge of violent conduct.

The charge related to Gillespie’s conduct following his dismissal, which was also for violent conduct, during Saturday’s game.

Gillespie has requested a personal hearing. A Disciplinary Commission will hear the case on Tuesday 30th January.
