Royals Call Press Conference

After over a week of speculation, the future of Steve Coppell will finally become clear today.

Following Reading’s relegation from the Premier League last Sunday, Steve Coppell’s future has been up in the air and the Royals boss stated he needed a few days to decide his future.

This sparked a campaign from loyal Reading fans, backing their manager in an attempt to get the Royals legend to stay.

Last week 100s of Royals fans flocked to the Madejski Stadium to give a demonstration of their support for Coppell by his parking space.

The Reading manager was obviously touched by this show of support, and admitted that it would have an influence over his decision.

The main opinion amongst fans and the media is that Coppell will today announce his decision to stay at the club and try to lead that back into the Premier League at the first time of asking.

Coppell still has a year left on his contract and is expected to at least honour his contract, before evaluating the situation again in the summer.

With Coppell publicly saying he wants to do what’s best for the club, followed by the Royals fans showing that they believe, that he is best for the club, it is looking more and more likely that he will stay.

Reading fans now have a nervous day ahead of them, and will have to wait for the press conference at 2.30 to find out the future of Sir Steve.
