Roy Still Keen On Hunt

Reading have rejected a reported £2.5 million bid for winger Stephen Hunt, according to Skysports.com.

Hunt has attracted interest from Sunderland and Everton in recent weeks, but despite Reading denying they are looking to sell the Ireland international, it appears Sunderland will do their best to land him.

Reading Director of Football Nicky Hammond, has been quick to dismiss any rumours of players leaving in January, ‘We’ve got no intention of selling any of our players in the January transfer window.’

Hunt on the other hand is refusing to rule anything out.

He said: ‘January is always the time for speculation, and you have to deal with it.

‘You never know what’s around the corner. Could something happen? I don’t know.

‘It’s up to the clubs to get a bid accepted. But at the moment, I’m happy here. We’ll see what happens.’

With Hunt seemingly uncertain of his own future and Roy Keane apparently making him his number one target, it remains to be seen where the 26-year-old will be plying his trade come February 2nd.
