James Harper has said that he can be as good as Thierry Henry and now Liam Rosenior has said he’s quicker than Ronaldo.

Following a poor start to his Reading career with just a handful of appearances towards the end of last season, Jimmy Kebe, the Malian Pele, is beginning to show glimpses of pure brilliance.

When Kebe was signed last January, James Harper compared him to Thierry Henry. Now Reading right-back Liam Rosenior is lavishing Kebe with praise, calling him the quickest player he’s ever seen.

Rosey and Jim have formed a good partnership down the right hand side this season and Liam is pleased at how well the two have clicked.

He said: ‘Sometimes players naturally click and it’s not hard to click with someone who has his pace and his quality, he’s the quickest player I’ve ever seen.

‘I’ve played against Robben and Ronaldo and he’s naturally faster than them. I’m not just saying that because he’s on my team, he is faster.

‘Brian McDermott said to me when we signed Jimmy he’s the fastest player he’s ever seen and he’s proven that ever since. If he keeps performing with that energy and width then I hope I can back him up.

‘He’s only 24, he’s still young. If we work on our link-up and final ball then hopefully not many people can stop us.

‘His performances have been great, it seems he enjoys playing with me and I do with him. Fans see players with pace and getting great crosses in and that’s what this time is about, it’s entertaining.’

Rosey and Jim, love it. They looked awesome together against Palace, I just hope they (and the rest of the team for that matter) sort out their away performances.

Rosenior did brilliantly to set up Harper’s goal and Kebe looks deadly when he starts running with the ball, he just needs to sort out his end product.

He has shown glimpses of brilliance since the begining. If he can keep improving and keep his work rate high, he could become a top player for us.

Sometimes players can be too quick for their own good or in fact for their teammates lets hope he can harness his natural speed to the rest of his game
