Liam Rosenior completed his move from Fulham to Reading on Friday night, as Seol Ki-Hyeon went in the opposite direction.

The former England under 21 international has spoken to Reading World for the first time since he signed, saying, “We’d been talking a while and I’m delighted it’s happened.

“We waited until two hours before the deadline, it was nerve-wracking, but it’s gone through.

“The Chairman has been fantastic, the manager has been so welcoming and I’m looking forward to playing for the Club.

“It was easy to get everything done because it feels like a perfect fit for me. Players say that, and it sounds like a cliché, but it’s definitely true.

“There were definitely no second thoughts, I just want to go out there and repay the faith shown in me by the manager, Nick Hammond, Brian McDermott and everyone.

“Right back is my position, but I can play right mid, left back, centre mid.

“At Bristol City I played up front, and I kept Leroy out of the team but he won’t admit that! I can play anywhere, as long as I’m out on that pitch.”

Rosenior is a really good signing for Reading, and his quality will be proved in time.
