Hull City are hoping to conclude a deal to sign former Royals right back Liam Rosenior on a free transfer before their game at the weekend. He has been on trial at the KC Stadium and played for the reserves this week and impressed enough to earn a permanent deal.

This is a player who was always pretty poor in a Reading shirt, but talked himself up as a future England right back! Infact it was only this summer that he walked out of a trial at Bristol City insisting he was about to sign for a Premiership club.

That never happened and he has been out of work since, desperate for a new club, leaving his Dad to talk him up on the Football League show.

Good luck to Hull, they will need it with him at right back. Not to mention James Harper in midfield!

Dear me, what a bitter article, Harper played 302 games for you lads, even Rosenior played 64, both have looked decent in their one off appearances for us so far. They might not be world beaters, but they at least deserve some respect for what they did in a Reading shirt.

When you have seen them play that amount of games for your club, then come back to me! To be fair Harper was a decent player for a couple of season’s, but as soon as Sidwell left he was found out for the player he really is – average. As for Rosenior, considering he decided to shout his mouth off about us as a club when he was on loan at Ipswich last season, he deserves all he gets.
