Rosenior Happy to be Patient

Liam Rosenior is a right back by trade, but he is being used as a right midfielder for Reading, something that he is happy to do for the time being.

Reading captain Graeme Murty is the right back, and doesn’t show any signs of being replaced anytime soon, so as much as Rosenior would like to be the right back he is happy to be patient and play as part of the team until the chance comes his way, “I’ve been coming on as a right midfield player,” Rosenior told Sky Sports News.

“It was something I was aware of when I came to the club that that’s where I’d start off because we had injuries there and Graeme Murty has done such a good job at right-back.

“Everyone at the club knows I’m a right-back and I’m just delighted to help out the team.

“Obviously in the future I want to be pushing to become a right-back full time at this club.”

Murty is, and will be for some time the first choice right back, but with time very much on Rosenior’s side he doesn’t have to be in any hurry to dislodge the captain, he can in actual fact learn a lot from him.

I’ve been quietly impressed with Rosenior since he arrived, but his long term use to the club will be something else.
