Ronnie Moore on Bell – Baggie

‘Oh Ronnie Moore, his mother is a wh*re!’ Forget the classic chant from the early noughties though, Rotherham’s gaffer has snapped up one of our youngsters on loan, and he sounds pretty pleased to have got him.

Abdulai Bell Baggie joined the Millers on loan for a month last week and was involved in their match day squad for the trip to Dagenham at the weekend. Whilst he didn’t get on, Moore was delighted to have him there and told ‘MillersPlayer’,

‘He’s seventeen and he’s got electric pace. He’s brave and strong and has got a lot of goals for the Reserves and kids. He’s two footed and can play on the left wing and gets into little pocket. He turns and twists and, even at his young age, he knows the game.’

Those who thought he was unlikely to get much game time up north are set to be proved wrong and Moore believes he will have a big impact at the Don Valley Stadium.

‘I was surprised when I phoned up Reading’s gaffer and had a chat to him that he was willing to let him out. But they are willing to let one or two young players out next season for a years loan so I thought I’d get in first and have a look at this lad because there is a lot to come from him. I’d love to have given him twenty minutes at Dagenham but it just wasn’t the game for that.’

From these comments it looks like a great move for the young kid, and if he can get some football under his belt at that level, at such a young age bodes well for his future at the Madejski Stadium.
