Reading’s transfer business could be done with Adrian Popa signed from Steaua Bucharest. His arrival follows up the signing of Tiago Ilori from Liverpool earlier in the month.

Like Ilori Reading have signed Popa on a permanent basis with the transfer fee undisclosed for the 28 year old.

Commenting on the deal Jaap Stam told the Official Website.

‘Adrian is an experienced forward with enormous potential. With the amount of games we have coming up, a player of Adrian’s quality will make it easier for us to rotate a little more. I’m delighted to have him here as part of our squad.’

Popa – who has won 21 caps for Romania and featured at Euro 2016 – has signed a three and a half year deal with Reading with him coming to the Madejski Stadium after helping Steaua to three successive domestic titles.

The experienced forward has experience of Champions League and Europa League football.
