It may have been in the reserves but Reading picked up a morale boosting victory over Arsenal on Monday night, defeating them 1-0 at Underhill.

Thanks to Leroy Lita’s strike on 53 minutes Reading were able to claim the scalp of the young Gunners to keep up the good start to the reserve have made to the season.

A very strong Reading, which side included several first team regulars, with Bobby Convey being one of them as he made his return from his latest injury setback. He played the full 90 minutes. Ibrahima Sonko also played the match as his return from his own long term injury lay off was also increased, he added a further 90 minutes to that played against Blackburn in the Premier League last Saturday.

    Another very good win for the reserves, with it further match action for Sonko, and also good to see Convey back again, he looked lively too.
