The Football League have now confirmed that referee Neil Swarbrick will take charge of the Championship Play Off Final between Huddersfield Town and Reading.

Swarbrick is from Lancashire and is a Select Group referee, mostly working in the Premier League this season.

Jake Collin and Darren Cann have been selected as the assistant referees on the day, with Stuart Attwell as fourth official and Derek Eaton as the reserve assistant referee.

Match Day referee Swarbrick has officiated 32 games in 2016/17 with a return of 118 yellow cards and three red cards.

His highest card count this season was six yellows and one red in the game between Swindon Town and Bolton Wanderers. He achieved the same in the Hull City and Newcastle United game in the EFL Cup.

He took in 35 matches in 2015-16 and in those games, across all competitions and football divisions, he handed out a total of 98 yellow cards and seven red cards.

He was most card happy in the match between Sunderland and West Ham on October 3 a total of seven yellows being shown and one red.

Swarbrick, a member of the Lancashire County Football Association, came through the ranks as an official and made his Football League debut in 2005, receiving his debut Premier League call up in December 2010.
