Reading will play either Newcastle United or Birmingham City in the F.A Cup 4th Round should they win their 3rd Round match against Burnley on Tuesday night.

The fixture will be played at St James` Park, Newcastle, or St Andrews, Birmingham, depending on the outcome of the Newcastle and Birmingham tie.

The 4th round tie will played on either, Friday 26th, Saturday 27th, or Sunday 28th January.

If Newcastle beat Birmingham and Reading beat Burnley it will mean there are four all Premiership ties, the others being Man Utd at home to Portsmouth, Arsenal entertaining their bogey team Bolton, and strugglers Watford visiting fellow relegation rivals West Ham.

Presuming Fulham, Man City, Middlesbrough, Spurs, and Newcastle come through their 3rd round replays and win their 4th round ties there would be a maximum of 10 Premiership teams left in the 5th round. (including Chelsea and Blackburn who are drawn outright.)

Birmingham will be Reading’s ideal tie, the Midlands club dumped Reading out of the FA Cup in a forth round replay last year – Reading will no doubt hope to return the favour this time around.

The full draw is as follows:

Arsenal v Bolton
West Ham v Watford
Bristol City or Coventry City v Hull City or Middlesbrough
Chelseav Nottingham Forest
Chester City or Ipswich Town v Swansea
Cardiff City or Tottenham v Southend Utd or Barnsley
Barnet or Colchester v Peterborough or Plymouth Argyle

Derby County v Bristol Rovers
Sheffield Wednesday or Manchester City v Southampton
Crystal Palace v Preston North End
Manchester United v Portsmouth
Blackpool v Norwich City
