A little look into what Reading and Spurs players have said ahead of our match up:

Spurs defender Pascal Chimbonda speaks about the threat Reading will pose to Tottenham at White Hart Lane:

‘I think they have come up from the Championship and kept the same spirit – the same as (former club) Wigan did last season,’

‘Reading are a good team with good players and it should be a good game on Sunday. I am not surprised Reading have done so well and they have won a lot of games.

‘They beat us 3-1 after us being ahead so we will need a little more concentration. If we show this we should win this game at home because when we play at home we score goals and seem to be more confident.’

Reading winger Glen Little is hoping to show that not only Aaron Lennon can excite on the right:

“Lennon is 5ft 5in and rapid – a bit different to me, but maybe I might just edge him in the crossing department.

“He is young and exciting – a very good player. There is potential there because he`s not the finished article yet, but when he is on song he is such a dangerous player.

“When you have that pace and that low centre of gravity it can be a real handful. I`m not sure that his best position is on the left because I think he is an out-and-out right winger.

“When he gets the ball he`ll cause anyone problems and will be a big, big talent in the future, and I`m sure for England for years to come.”

“There`s not enough of those sort of players. We say that there`s not many English players who get the ball and beat players as we saw for England recently.

“We are crying out for one of them, although Lennon did well. When you only have one England player who can go past a man it`s worrying times. I don`t know why that is.

“I love running with the ball and we`ve had players like (Steve) McManaman, who can pick it up.

“In the old days I used to love Chris Waddle, who could take a player on both ways, and John Barnes, but why there is no-one like them for England now. I don`t know why.

“Joe Cole is injured which doesn`t help because he can make things happen, but for some reason there are not many.

“Little Wrighty (Sean Wright-Phillips) was looking like he would become a really good player, but it`s not happened for him yet.

“We need more like him (Lennon). I wish I was 10 years younger, although the way England are going, I don`t know!”

Little also added his views on White Hart Lane and the Spurs squad:

“It`s a nice place to play, but I got hammered there last time. Hopefully it will go a bit better this time. It should be a good game. Spurs have lots of dangerous players and it should be an exciting game.

“Robbie Keane is playing well and Dimitar Berbatov, along with Didier Drogba, is the best striker in the division at the minute.”

Meanwhile Greg Halford is hoping to get his first start against Spurs:

‘Hopefully against Spurs I can get 20 minutes or half an hour or even a start. It`s been progressive.

“I get so frustrated not playing. I can`t stand watching football on TV or in the stands because it annoys me as I just want to be playing.

“I don`t even watch England – they just annoy me with the way they play.

“I look forward to coming into training because I love doing it and I am very lucky.

“I`m desperate to play in every game, but it`s up to the manager. All I can do is make his mind up in training.

‘We have a fantastic squad and I don`t expect anything, I feel privileged that I was able to get on the bench for the last game.’

And finally Stephen Hunt describes his excitement after featuring in Ireland`s Euro qualifiers:

“I am absolutely buzzing after that. Mentally I am a bit knackered, but I still feel refreshed.

“Having played in those games has really boosted my confidence and I can`t wait for Sunday.

“There were three of us from Reading, which is great for the club, but we had lots of players on international duty, so it shows how far we have come.

“We`ll be up against Robbie Keane on Sunday. He is playing really well, but we`ll go to Spurs looking to win.

“They are only a point ahead of us, so we need to win to overtake them.”

4-0 by half time will enable Jol to take Keanealdo,Dawson & Berbatov (complete with match ball!) off at the break to rest them ahead of thursdays UEFA Cup Q Final first leg in Spain.Berbatov if given chances will punish Sevilla.History shows he”s not bothered about names & reputations, far better defences than Sevilla have been done over by Dimitar Berbatov.Yeah lets make that 2 matchballs in a week..!!Berbatov-The Butcher of Sevilla
