Reading has no fewer than ten internationals on national duty over the weekend, but how did they fair?

Nicky Shorey was not named among the England squad that beat Israel 3-0.

Kevin Doyle scored a stunning goal for the Republic of Ireland but he could not prevent Slovakia snatching a late equaliser in the 2-2 draw. Stephen Hunt and Shane Long were unused substitutes.

Ivar Ingimarsson played the whole of Iceland’s 1-1 home draw with Spain, unfortunately Brynjar Gunnarsson had already pulled out with an injury.

Bobby Convey came on for 20 minutes at the end of the USA’s 4-2 defeat to Brazil.

Emerse Fae was on duty as the Ivory Coast drew 0-0 with Gabon.

Andre Bikey could not prevent Cameroon suffering a shock 1-0 defeat again Equatorial Guinea.

Ulises De La Cruz was unused as Ecuador beat El Salvador 5-1.

Simon Church was a substitute, but couldn`t get on as Wales lost 1-0 in France at under 21 level.

    That is one round of matches out of the way without any injuries to any Reading players, 90 minutes to go for most, if not all of these players again this week. Again all being well they will come through okay.
