Reading have reportedly shown an interest in Grimsby Town striker Liam Hearn, after his prolific goal scoring record in the Conference Premier, according to the Daily Mail.

The 26-year old has been a prolific striker at all of his clubs in the past five years, scoring 83 goals in 130 games for Quorn, Alfreton Town and most recently Grimsby in the Conference.

Premier League giants Chelsea are also monitoring his situation. Scouts from both teams have watched the striker on some occasions and will not cost extensive amounts of money.

The Royals have already completed the signing of striker Karl Sheppard in this window but could be on the look out for other potential striker, as the likes of Mathieu Manset and Nicholas Bignall could be loaned out.
