Reading are considering a move for their former defender Zurab Khizanishvili, according to Sky Sports.
The 31-year ols’s current contract at Turkish club Kayserispor is set to run out at the end of the season, meaning that the defender will be available on a free. Norwich and Brian McDermott’s Leeds are also reportedly keen to attain the serves of the former Blackburn player.
Zurab had two loan spells at the Madejski Stadium, stretching over 2010 and 2011 and accumulating 43 appearances. I wouldn’t be against him coming back here, as he always struck me as a composed defender with the ball at his feet, which fits into Adkins’ style well.
