Reading needed a penalty shoot out to beat League one side Mk Dons in the EFL Second round.

The league one side opted to use their youngters, but Reading still struggled through, drawing 2-2 after extra time, only to beat them on penalties.

Reading made 10 changes to the side that put in an impressive performance to draw with Brighton on the weekend.

Mk Dons went 1-0 up after converting a penalty mid way through the first half.

It took a bit of magic from Callum Harriot to equalise after 65 minutes to draw the sides level.

The tie then went to Extra time where Harriot again produced a bit of class to put the Royals 2-1 up only for Mk to draw level before penalties.

Reading were then victorious in the penalty shoot out to set up a tie with Brighton in the third round
