The Royals faithful have waited a long time for an away win. In fact the last one was Charlton back in February and we haven’t won away against a side outside the bottom 3 since september at Burnley.

What better way to do it? A last minute winner and a clean sheet for Jaap Stam’s men.

I was lucky enough to find a stream for the game and Cardiff started the better.

Despite have 60% of the ball, Reading failed to trouble the Cardiff goalkeeper and Al-Habsi was called into action a couple of times in the first 45.

However, the second half was a much better showing from the away side.

Reading continued to control the game with their possession and created some chances.

Beerens missed a gilt edged chance before Kermorgant headed wide from a corner.

It looked like it was going to end in a 0-0 draw with neither side have that cutting edge before Kermorgant stepped up to fire Reading into the lead with just one minute remaining.

It was a class finish from the Reading forward and a much needed goal for both his confidence and the three points for Reading.

A great way to go into the International break.
