Reading are considering a move for Leeds midfielder Adam Clayton, according to the Daily Mirror.

The 23-year old is currently transfer-listed for Neil Warnock’s side, after failing to agree terms on a new contract numerous times over the past few months. A fee of around £2 million could be enough to take Clayton away from Elland Road, who is primarily seeking a move to the Premier League.

The former England U20 international signed for Leeds back in August 2010 from Manchester City, going onto make 47 appearances for the Championship side and scoring six goals in the process. If Leeds were to let Clayton go, a move for Brian Howard could be on the cards considering the midfielder wants to return to Yorkshire.
